Reloading your Cash Passport
Want to put more money onto your card?
This couldn’t be easier. Just take your Cash Passport and valid photo ID to any participating Branch of the bank, travel agent or retailer where you bought it, and they will reload the card for you.
If you bought your Cash Passport from Travelex UK, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Cambridge Building Society, Derbyshire Building Society, Dudley Building Society, Leeds Building Society, Saffron Building Society or Advantage and independent travel agents, and you have Internet Banking or Telephone Banking facilities, you can also reload your card by phoning your Bank or over the Internet.
Please note that payments will only be accepted from accounts in the name of the primary Cash Passport cardholder.
Alternatively, if you have bought your Cash Passport from any of the above listed banks, travel agencies or retailers, you can call us on 0845 300 2449 or +44 1733 457630 (from abroad) and reload your card over the Phone, using your debit or credit card.
If you purchased your card outside the UK, please visit your local site for more information on how to reload your card.
Internet Banking and Telephone Banking
Your bank’s Internet Banking service will usually be the most efficient way to reload your card.
Please note that reloading Cash Passport via Internet or Telephone banking is only available to customers who have bought their card from Travelex UK, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Cambridge Building Society, Derbyshire Building Society, Dudley Building Society, Leeds Building Society, Saffron Building Society, Advantage or independent travel agents. If you have purchased your Cash Passport from a different travel agent or retailer, please visit one of their branches to reload your card. |
At present we are only able to process Cash Passport Internet Banking and Telephone Banking reloads from customers holding current accounts at any of the following banks;
- Abbey
- Alliance and Leicester
- Bank of Scotland (HBOS)
- Barclays
- Clydesdale
- The Co-operative Bank
- HSBC
- Lloyds TSB
- Nationwide
- Royal Bank of Scotland
Travelex are committed to providing their customers with a high quality service and as such are in the process of extending the above list.
In the interim, your Cash Passport can be reloaded by Phone, using a debit or credit card, or in Branch.

Before contacting your bank to reload, please ensure you have registered your email address with us in the secure 'My Account' area of our website.
Then you can log onto your bank’s website and put in your security details as you normally would to access your account details, or to make any other payment. Create a new payee using the details below. In most cases you will be able to save the details for future reloads.
Alternatively, you can arrange for a bank transfer directly into your Cash Passport account by phoning your bank and asking them to make a payment to the following:

For both Internet Banking and Telephone Banking reloads
Include your 16 digit Cash Passport card number as a reference. This will ensure the funds are posted to the right account. If this number is missing we will be unable to reload your card and will return the funds to your bank account.
If given the option, request that the funds leave your account immediately to avoid any delays. It may take up to five working days for the funds to appear on your Cash Passport balance.
Once your funds have been received, we will send you confirmation, either via email or post, that your reload has been successful.If the funds have not appeared on your Cash Passport balance within five working days, please call Card Services.
If you own a US Dollar or Euro Cash Passport, we will convert your payment into the relevant currency, before applying it to your card account. You will find the rate we used in your email confirmation once the reload has been processed. If you have used the Telephone option to reload your Cash Passport you can call us on the numbers mentioned on the back of the card to enquire about the rate used.
By Telephone
If you don't have Internet or Telephone Banking facilities you can still reload your card by Telephone. Simply call us on 0845 300 2449 or +44 1733 457630 (from abroad) and you can transfer funds directly from your debit or credit card.

Reloads by Telephone may be made up to a maximum of £750 within 24 hours and up to an overall maximum of £1500 within a 60 day period and should appear on your Cash Passport balance within 24 hours. If the funds have not appeared after five working days, please call us on the numbers on the back of your card.
Please note that the Cash Passport rate used for Internet or Telephone Banking as well as reloads may differ from the rate displayed on www.travelex.co.uk or within Travelex branches.
